This Mortgage Tip is brought to you by the Jefferson Lewis Board of REALTORS® and Northern Credit Union. All homeowners make mistakes and regret it  later. I mentioned some common errors last week. Hi, I am Lance Evans from the Jefferson-Lewis Board of REALTORS®. One gaffe is to skip the last mowing before winter. Shorter grass stays healthier over winter. While you are outside, be sure to disconnect and store your hose for the winter. With your hose attached, water can stay trapped in pipes and cause them to freeze. In addition, cold weather will ruin your hose. In warmer weather, do not water your lawn and plants at night. Without the sun to evaporate it, water is more likely to cling to grass at night, promoting fungus. Finally, when you decide to wash windows, do not do it when the sun is shining on them. The sun dries windows too quickly and causes smears. Learning from other people’s mistakes will help you Dream It, Live It, Own It in Northern New York.
