ROSE’S STORY FOR SUBWAY DIET CHALLENGE.

 

2011 WAS A YEAR OF CHANGE.  FIRST OF ALL I LANDED A GREAT JOB THAT I LOVE…BEING WITH YOU WEEKDAY AFTERNOONS FROM 3 TIL 7 ON FROGGY 97.   IT WAS LIKE A NEW BEGINNING FOR ME.  NOW, USUALLY AT GATHERINGS I’M THE ONE BEHIND THE CAMERA.  BUT, WHEN I SAW A PICTURE OF ME TAKEN IN JULY…I WAS LIKE…REALLY?  THAT’S ME?  SO WHEN I WAS APPROACHED IN AUGUST ABOUT DOING THE SUBWAY FRESH FIT DIET CHALLENGE AGAINST OUR MORNING MAN EXTRAORDINAIRE JAMES POND… I JUMPED AT THE OPPORTUNITY!    I WILL HAVE TO ADMIT I’M VERY COMPETATIVE.  THE CHALLENGE WAS SIMPLE…REPLACE ONE MEAL A DAY WITH A 6 INCH SUB FROM SUBWAY’S FRESH FIT MENU, AND MAKE IT A POINT TO GET MOVING FOR 30 MINUTES A DAY.   I EMBRACED THE CHALLENGE AND FOUND IT SO EASY TO MAINTAIN!  THERE ARE SO MANY SUBS TO CHOOSE FROM, AND INSTEAD OF WALKING EVERY NIGHT AFTER WORK…I EVEN JOINED PLANET FITNESS AFTER I SAW THE POUNDS STARTING TO COME OFF!  MY RECIPE FOR SUCCESS?  NO CHEESE, NO MAYO, AND I USED THEIR FAT FREE DRESSING OR MUSTARD ON THE SIDE.  I ALSO STARTED REALLY PAYING ATTENTION TO FOOD LABELS, STARTED EATING LOTS MORE VEGGIES, DRANK MORE WATER AND CUT OUT SODA.  IT WORKED!!!!!  I REALLY DON’T KNOW HOW MUCH WEIGHT I LOST…CUZ I THINK SCALES ARE EVIL!    BUT I DO KNOW I DROPPED AT LEAST 2 TO 3 PANT SIZES, AND HAD TO BUY BELTS!  I’M FEELING BETTER THAN I HAVE IN YEARS!  I HAVE MORE ENERGY THAN I KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH AND I FEEL YOUNGER TOO!  I

KNOW I’LL NEVER BE A SUPERMODEL…FRANKLY I DON’T WANT TO BE!   THE BEST PART ABOUT HIS WHOLE EXPERIENCE…IT WAS EASY!    SUBWAY’S FRESH FIT DIET CHALLENGE REALLY DOES WORK!
